Asus announced the launch date for its next flagship smartphone, the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra. It is expected to debut on February 6 at 2:30 p.m. Taiwan time. The teasers show 4K video recordings and focus locks.
Rumours suggest that the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra will feature similar specifications as the ROG Phone 9 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip; it will have a 6.78-inch LCD LTPO (FHD and with 185 Hz) and up to 16GB of RAM.

Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra to leverage AI to optimize the imaging experience
According to the official teaser on its website, the “Zenfone 12 Ultra unlocks the power of AI” will reportedly enhance the photography aspects of the smartphone as well. It will be interesting to see what improvements over the previous model can be observed.
The company’s teaser image also suggests 4K video capturing options and a focus tracking function while shooting video. This hints at new possibilities and better overall images.
The company has also moved on from the small Zenfone design that they had in the year before. We can see that the company will shift towards more significant and brawnier devices in the future. Though there are no details about Zenfone 12 Ultra, Zenfone 12 Ultra is still hidden. Those teasers are likely to be disclosed by the companies ahead of the event.
What else is to be expected?
As for hints for the future itself, you only need to look towards past model names — the Zenfone 11 Ultra was almost an ROG Phone 8 in a different outfit. If ASUS does the same this time, the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra might somehow still carry ROG Phone 9 DNA. ROG Phone 9 that was launched back in November.

The ROG Phone 9, with its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset chip, up to 24GB RAM and a whopping 1TB storage. Performance-wise, it’s an absolute beast. Whether ASUS will stick to its predecessor’s specs or debut something utterly different in Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra is still anyone’s guess.
The Zenfone 11 Ultra was instead limited to India. ROG Phone 8 Pro did launch with a price of 94,999 rupees in the Indian market, though there was a launch event for the same. It isn’t clear whether the same process will be followed for Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra.it. It is all about Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra. This means that those who prefer small mobile phones will also not get any updates on the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra this time.
